grade SLC USB flash drives (UFD) to industrial, medical, and military customers.
These industrial grade single-level cell (SLC)
USB flash drives [thumb drives] are
much
more durable and reliable than the industrial grade multi-level cell (MLC) USB
flash drives and the much cheaper consumer grade counterparts. The industrial grade USB flash memory drives are built to
endure severe operating environments such as extreme cold and hot
temperatures, continuous vibration, high shock impact, intensive read-write
cycles, etc. These industrial grade USB flash drives feature vital benefits such as wear-leveling, error correction, sustained write speed, shock and

Such features are essential to industries that require a more robust digital storage option to ensure reliable and repeatable operations.
Consumer grade flash memory products are built with the much cheaper and less reliable controller chipset and flash memory. These consumer-grade memory products are not durable. At the beginning the low pricing is very appealing but eventually the reliability problem will appear.
